GLOG Class: Wrench Wench and Big Bot.

Why is it that small, adorable, fierce girls often find themselves in the company of a big burly engine of destruction? Amusing juxtaposition? Archaic and unhealthy notions of femininity and masculinity? An equally shitty view on the roles in a heteronormative relationship being expressed in a more palatable form? Probably.

But who cares. She’s got a wrench the size of her arm, it’s got an arm the size of her, and they’re buds now. Don’t ruin this for me.

The dynamic duo functions as a single character, and are assumed to be inseparable. They have shared HP. The Bot can use weapons as a Fighter, with no drawbacks or bonuses. Has d4 unarmed damage due to big metal hands, and starts with Medium Armour.

A: Mechanics, Amp It

B: Get Technical

C: You Dun Goofed

D: Go On Without Me, I’ll Never Forget You

Mechanics

Gain a d4 Repair Die (RD) every time you take a template. RD are always expended on use, and return after a long rest. Can spend RD as an action to regain HP equal to the roll.

Amp It

You can add RD to attack and damage rolls. If you also choose to lose HP equal to the roll, they return on a 1 or a 2. Must be done before the roll. Overclocking is bad for your health kids!

Get Technical

You can finally add those upgrades you’ve been thinking of. Pick an armour, skill, tool, or weapon. Sacrifice an RD and a decent amount of currency (100GP maybe?) to give it a +2 bonus. Can retrieve RD with a good day’s work and a half decent workshop, losing the bonus. No, you don’t get the currency back.

You Dun Goofed

The first time damage is taken in combat triggers the Bot’s protective programming. Gain extra attacks equal to the number of WW&BB templates for your next turn, but are unable to move or take any other action in between or after.

Go On Without Me

When you next would die, choose whether the Wench dies, or the Bot dies. Time stops, and you get a tearful farewell scene regardless of actual circumstances. You cannot use this to do anything other than be sad, so ham it up.

If the Bot survived, you can no longer use RD or regain HP in any way. You keep RD invested by Get Technical, but cannot retrieve them. You’re also really angry, so +2 to attack and damage rolls.

If the Wench survives, you have 1HP max and cannot gain more, no armour (and cannot wear more than Light), and only your trusty wrench to defend yourself (d6, as mace). On the bright side, RD now return on a 1 or a 2!

I’ll Never Forget You

The story continues. After Go On Without Me is triggered, the surviving half can find another companion in a suitable location. The Bot might adopt a scrappy orphan girl, or the Wench attempts to rebuild the Bot. It will never be the same, so once done you permanently lose the fourth template in this class and can never take it again.
